MillMaster

In the 21st century there is increasing demand by companies, suppliers and their customers to transact business differently. MillMaster allows you to take advantage of today’s technology to change the way you do business. It allows you to embrace new demands, such as electronic transactions with suppliers, hauliers and customers via the Internet but also extending MillMaster into new devices such as the iPhone.

Overview

Electronic trading means that when you deal with suppliers and hauliers (business-to-business (B2B) transactions) you will:

    Streamline the process

    Reduce admin costs

Rapid access to more accurate data and positions

    Develop new business opportunities

With the option of handling business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions electronically, you will be able to:

    Improve customer service levels

Give customers and sales people 24/7 access

Business-to-Business - B2B

MillMaster has adopted the agricultural industry-standard First4Farming (F4F) interface to allow trading between a wide range of trading partners so irrespective of the software used by your trading partners there is one common communication language. Transactions with your trading partners are sent as messages , so there is an order message, a contract message etc.

E-enabling partners within MillMaster

MillMaster enables you to define for customers and suppliers a wide range of transactions (orders, contracts, call offs and many more) you wish to process electronically with your partners.

MillMaster Adapter

The MillMaster Adapter allows you to tailor outgoing documents according to the recipient. You can set up different formats and content for each of your electronic trading partners, and in this way you can personalise the documents you send out

Receiving external messages

MillMaster validates all messages coming from your trading partner ensuring that you do not receive incorrect information such as duplicate orders. On receipt of a message you are able to enforce your business rules such as checking the order quantity and then rejecting or accepting the order and sending the appropriate rejection or acceptance message automatically back to your trading partner.

Business-to-Consumer – B2C

Both your external customers and salespeople require 24/7 access to their orders, invoices etc wherever they may be located.

Using our latest browser software sales staff are already accessing information about their own customers, orders etc. when they are away from the office via laptops and various other devices.

One of the biggest areas of success has been the capability to improve communications between sales staff out on the road visiting their farmer customers and customer services staff based in the office. The easy creation of messages and reminders along with email integration has enabled sales and customer services staff to keep in touch and have one common up to the minute view of the customer and all their communications across often diversified business centres and staff physical locations.

iPhone development

As ever technology moves faster and we are seeing development on a massive scale of the latest iPhone applications. The iPhone now has over 200,000 software applications available from booking train tickets to using the phone as a level.

We have developed a MillMaster iPhone application that provides the user with the capability to add orders, look up customer details, check mill production, view the raw material make-up of a feed formulation and as every day goes by more functionality is being added. The information accessed is exactly the same as if you are in the mill office, totally up to date with every order, contract, call off etc that has been added up to the second you access the information.

Imagine being a Mill Manager away from the mill in the middle of winter and needing to be able to keep an eye on production requirements. The iPhone application allows you to be able to see at a glance (wherever you are) exactly what orders you have for the next 7 days broken down by physical form, day, tonnage limits.

A sales person out on farm needs to discuss a feed formulation with the farmer for a product he is not currently buying. The sales person using their iPhone can look up and display on the phone screen the latest formulation and the raw material breakdown to the farmer. The farmer agrees to make an initial order, the sales person enters the order on their iPhone and it is immediately communicated to the mill for approval by the customer services order team. The opportunity to do business in a different way is being provided by the iPhone today.
