AW/VW Bulk Weighing Systems
Accurate recording of bulk material movements around feed mills provides enhanced levels of accurate weight recording / performance monitoring. Whilst some mills utilise weighbridges or silo weighing systems for weight recording; bulk throughput weighers provide a more flexible and cost-effective alternative. Chronos Richardson offers CHRONO-WEIGH™ AW/VW loadcell bulk weighers, designed to meet the handling requirements of free-flowing materials. Available in a variety of sizes with hopper capacities from 50kg to 10 tonnes, bulk weighers provide throughput rates up to 1,000 tonnes/hour. In a typical bulk weighing system the AW/VW weigher is controlled by a CHRONO-TRONIC™ Bulk 9 controller, which ensures weighing accuracy in accordance with OIML R107 (totalising hopper weighers) for all classes 0.2, 0.5, 1 and 2. CHRONO-TRONIC™ Bulk 9 offers a storage capacity of: · Up to 500 customer files · Up to 150 data files for material balancing · Up to 150 entries for order reports · Up to 150 silos can be addressed via Profibus DP (decentralised peripherals for PLC-Controllers) during shipping and/or receiving · Up to 150 entries for cleanout value (optional) into silo file, e.g. for spare silo when actual silo will be empty soon. AutoPilot4Feed can control any type of weigher including normal dry material weighers, weigh-out types, weigh feeders, liquid weighers, liquid meters, flow feeders and timed feeders. There is no limit to the number of weighers being controlled.
Since AutoPilot4Feed is a fully user-configurable package, changing the configuration is simple and quick. All the features to optimise weighing are also included such as running multiple feeders containing the same material, automatic swap when a bin runs out of material and self-tuning algorithms. These features are designed to minimise operator workload yet optimise accuracy and throughput. A single AutoPilot4Feed system can control up to four separate batching plants and up to seven mixing lines. For larger plants, this means a single fully integrated system can control the whole plant. There are features to maximise throughput such as follow-on batches, pre-discharge and ‘speed batch’. AutoPilot4Feed can even produce self-flushing batches automatically and uses a predictive algorithm to decide when to produce one.
