NIR Calibrations for the Feed & Feed Ingredients Industry from Bruker

Bruker Optics offers a set of universal NIR calibrations developed by Aunir and CRA-W, the world leaders in NIR calibration development, for the analysis of raw materials and finished products in the feed industry for the most common parameters like moisture, oil, protein, fiber and ash, as well as for more specific tasks. These INGOT calibrations help you to achieve a fast and effective quality control at minimum cost, from day one.

Ready-to-use INGOT calibrations are available for

·         Feed and Feed Ingredients

·         Flour and Milling

·         Pet Food and Animal Proteins

·         Aqua Feed

·         Dried and Wet Forage

INGOT provides you with a simple ‘plug and play’ solution, allowing you to gain maximum benefit from your Bruker FT-NIR spectrometer on day one.

But there is more to Bruker Optics' MPA FT-NIR spectrometer. The different sampling modules allow the analysis of all types on samples from liquid samples like oils to single seed analysis all with one instrument. Furthermore, Bruker Optics teamed up with the world leaders of animal nutrition to provide ready-to-use calibrations for amino acid analysis.  InfraXact™ from Foss

InfraXact™ from FOSS is a new generation near infrared (NIR) analyser for rapid, routine analysis of feed ingredients, compound feed, forage and agricultural products.

It can be used on both ground and unground samples, semi-solids and can measure parameters like protein, fat, moisture and fibre in under a minute and, no chemicals are required.

The InfraXact is robust and easy to use, requiring minimal operator training and instrument maintenance making routine NIR analysis simple, convenient and cost-effective. It can be situated in the laboratory with InfraXact Lab, or at the production line with the InfraXact Pro, where it is IP65 approved. Ready to use calibrations ensure that operation is simple, effective and that InfraXact starts working from day one.

An optional programmable sample ID chip in the sample cup ensures that samples are automatically traced and that the right calibration is selected. Results can also be transferred back to the LIMS software in real time. Such features make it simple to do more routine analysis with associated benefits, including more consistent product quality, reduced risk of rework and improved throughput in the laboratory.

The InfraXact is the latest addition in NIRS family from FOSS; the NIRS 5000 and 6500 are also available. FOSS provides dedicated analytical solutions that ensure optimal production of feed, food and agricultural products – helping you optimize both quality and profit.

Is Moisture Control key to your Production Process?

With the ever varying moisture content in raw materials, on line measurement has become a key factor in ensuring optimum efficiency and quality control in the production of compound animal feed. To ensure a consistent result, the ability to measure moisture and make any adjustments during the process becomes critical at several stages during the production cycle, in the raw materials, the mixer or in the pellatised product.

Hydronix sensors with their unique digital, microwave technology offer an accurate and practical solution to this problem. Robust and easy to integrate into the main control system, the sensors are placed in the flow of material, in silos, the mixer, pelletiser or belt cooler depending upon the individual requirement.  Interfacing software, also used for easy setup and calibration of the sensors, provides a real time method of monitoring the moisture content, enabling adjustments to be made in the process as necessary.

The Hydro-Probe II sensor for flowing materials, or the Hydro-Mix VI sensor for mixers and walls of chutes / containers provide a reliable, cost effective method of quality control that reduces wastage and the associated costs of production.
